This is an image of a watercolor self-portrait from when I was 10 years old. It is from a photograph that my father took of me. Spending time with him when I was a child and a young adult was so important to me— I consider myself extremely lucky to have a supportive father as an LGBTQ person because I know so many do not, and I feel this portrait of myself that my father took captures the gentle peace and happiness and thankfulness that I have for him.
